Much needed Summer Vacation

I have been posting projects weekly for over 2 years now and my team and I have decided it is time I take a much deserved summer vacation.

Don’t worry we will be back with the completion of the formal gown and new fun projects soon!

McCall’s started making these awesome “Create your own design” patterns. I have been waiting for an excuses to make this dress. Another October family wedding seems to be a fantastic reason in my mind 🙂

Fancy Pants

To go along with the Riker jacket, I also did up a pair of pants.

I didn’t make the pants myself, they were pre-bought to ensure fit. I just added trim and flair to them to make them match the jacket.

It’s So Nice When Things Finally Come Together!

Have you ever had a project that makes you want to quit sewing? This jacket was totally that project for me.

As I start to write this post I have just walked away from this jacket because I broke the zipper. Mind you, this is after sewing it in, ripping it out, and sewing it in again.

Luckily, I have a second zipper and my muslin version to look at to see where I went wrong.
