I am proud to say that I have been exercising regularly for over 120 days now. In that time I have noticed a lot of changes in my body, most notably, has been in my arms. They have gotten bigger. Which is great, as I have never been particularly muscular in my upper body. The downside that I am finding is that some of my favorite shirts just don’t fit anymore!
I had been surfing Pinterest, like you do, and came across a pin from MakeIt-LoveIt.com for a sweater to sweater dress up-cycle that she had done. I decided that I had to try it with one of my old sweaters.
This is how it went:
I started by laying the sweater on the floor inside out. From there, I pinned an outline of the dress silhouette where I wanted to cut down the sweater. Next, I trimmed the sides of the sweater along my pinned guidelines and also cut off the sleeves so they could be shortened and reattached. I sewed up the open sides and reattached the shortened sleeves, adding a cuff to the sleeves.
And there you have it! It really is a simple way to extend the life of your clothes and give them new life to be worn by your little one. I think I will add a belt to this dress to help break up all the purple; maybe something wide, white and with a big flower on it 😉
